I invite you
to read the daily nitty gritty on my blog! |
It's official!
Morning Star Garden is a reality! We'll be
bringing fresh, naturally grown produce and meats to
southwest Virginia!
It's January, a
late start for me who's used to having beds prepped in
the fall, but we're plugging away anyway. Joe is
terracing the produce area while I pour over seed
catalogs, set up our spread sheets and create our
marketing materials.
We're halfway
finished cleaning out one of his dad's greenhouses to
get plants started, and we need to place our seed
orders. We'll concentrate this year on produce &
egg production while preparing areas for beef and pork
to add to the mix next year. We have 5-6
markets ready for our things and I'm still trying to
convince Joe that we really need a cute little log cabin
for a market stand. If you believe I need this
too, go to my blog and leave some comments for him!!
I'll blog about the
daily progress of the farm if you care to read the
nitty-gritty (no pun intended!) details of this second
start for both of us! Thanks for visiting Morning Star
Garden.com, and come back to see us when we have
pictures and more stories.
